Michael Thalasinos

MS, LMFT

Michael Thalasinos is a licensed family therapist with over 15 years of experience helping children, families, and couples navigate the complexities of their relationships. Michael has a passion for helping families and couples, believing that the quality of our relationships is the most significant predictor of our overall happiness and life satisfaction. Through his work, he has helped individuals and families overcome challenges such as communication problems, infidelity, and parenting issues.

 

Michael works collaboratively with his clients to create a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their emotions, identify patterns of behavior, and develop new skills for building and maintaining strong relationships. He specializes in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helping people and relationships develop strong, healthy, and fulfilling relationships. He is also experienced in using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) helping people manage anxiety and depression.

In addition to his private practice, Michael also teaches couple and family therapy at UW Health and Edgewood College, where he shares his experience with future therapists. Michael is a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), an organization dedicated to advancing the practice of EFT around the world. He is also an Approved Supervisor for The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), demonstrating his commitment to mentoring and guiding other therapists in their professional development.

 

Through his compassionate and insightful approach to therapy, Michael has helped families and couples strengthen their bonds and overcome the challenges that can arise in even the most loving relationships. He is committed to helping his clients live their best lives and build fulfilling, meaningful connections with the people who matter most to them.
